This painting was done for Karin Jurick's DSFDF (Different Strokes From Different Folks) week 52-54 challenge "Airport Travelers". And, believe me...it was a "challenge". It's not 100% without error, however, I'm glad to have completed it and pleased that I was able to take on yet another subject that I would not have chosen on my own. As with each new challenge in life, learning and growth takes place. And, now I can (virtually) fly off to Halifax, Nova Scotia and paint a landscape there for my Virtual Paintout challenge. I think this is magnificent - you can physically feel the light. Great job, Pat!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Claire. I'm glad you like it. There was a lot of contrast between the light and the dark. That really helped the light pop.
ReplyDeleteWonderful wonderful wonderful Pat! I need to finish mine. I hope it is a quarter as successful as yours!
ReplyDeleteYou did this beautifully, Pat. I love the floor colors but my absolute favorite is the glasses on the bottom man. Wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteSheila, thank you. I saw your works and know it will be better than a quarter. Can't wait to see yours.
ReplyDeleteAutumn, now you have me looking to see how many included the glasses. LOL
ReplyDeleteVery interesting, Pat! This is a first time I see any humans on your painting!... Guess what? Look good! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tanya, I'm glad you like it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color with this piece Pat...great figures too!
ReplyDeleteDana, thank you for your comments and your visit.
ReplyDeleteGreat entry. I love your choice of colors.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dominique, color choice was probably one of the easiest parts of the challenge. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on this, Pat. I especially like the turquoise.
ReplyDeleteCarol, I totally related to your description of this challenge on your blog. You made me howl! I am still working on straightening out the perspective...I should repost my corrrected and final draft.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool interpretation! I really like your color choices.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Glenda, I really appreciate your comments.
