Acrylic on Canvas
This painting was done plein air at Trout Run Wetlands off Stumpstown Road in Mechanicsburg, PA. It was one of those "hot" days and the humidity and air was thick, even in the morning. Lovely, Pat!
Once again love your color pallet and how easy do you handle it.
Pat, this piece is truly magical! I love how well this fared in your somewhat impressionistic strokes. The sky colors are exquisite, but then when I look elsewhere I am just as struck by the gorgeous colors of nature that you have captured. A beautiful beautiful gem in this one!
Tatiana and Autumn, thank you so much for you wonderful comments.
My eye travels around this beautiful painting with such ease and enjoyment!
Thanks so very much, Claire. I've been meaning to try something larger with the palette knife...I think it's time since these little ones can get a bit fussy.
You did a great job with the palette knife! i really love how thick the paint is. I have not been brave enough to try to paint with one much yet. Love the palette also!
Thanks, Carol. I can't seem to try a palette knife with every painting; the subject almost dictates when. You'll know when to try. And, if it flops, who would have to know. LOL
