Sandy - Representational Oil Portrait of a Man by Pennsylvania Daily Painter Pat Koscienski

Sandy
16" x 12"
Oil
Sandy was an artist in our Portraiture/Figure Class at York Art Association in York, PA Our model didn't show that day, and he kindly filled in. We usually had two, 3 hour sessions, but this particular time we had to do it in 3 hours. If you have any questions, contact Pat at patsfineart@hotmail.com If you wish to see more of my paintings, please visit my blogspot and website at: www.patkoscienski.blogspot.com

You did a good job Pat, those warm colours really bring him to life.

Oh my goodness, Pat! You did this in three hours??!! Love the palette - wonder if you had that red behind him or if that is your creation? You did a fabulous job.

Thanks, Rosemary. It's been a while since I did this, but I think I used masonite board primed with a reddish brown so it didn't take much to scrub that in. Karl, the instructor usually "draped" cloth behind the model, so I know it wasn't his set-up...lol.
