    The red and purple against the black are perfection, Pat. You work magic with your acrylics because I always think they are oils. Thanks too for your tip on googling the questions I had for tree bark. I had already done just that and hadn't seen anything that would help me. I did see, however, a way to paint the tree foliage. That was quite helpful!

    My goodness, I love the contrast in colour brightness between those eggplant-blacks and purples and the vivid, sunlit red and orange on his proud head and back - it creates such a potent image.

    Beautiful! Greens are so difficult and yours are spot on! This is luscious! Great work with the palette knife! Having been lax with blogging, I'm trying to catch up. EARLY MORNING RETREAT is lovely! Dressed in his bright colorful finery,BARNYARD STRUTTER is magnificient! What an attitude he stuts! Great job!
