"Young Mr. & Mrs. Smith" was painted for James Parker's Windows to the Words Art for the November Thanksgiving Challenge. When I finished it, the little boy looked like a young Brad Pitt and the little girl, Angelina Jolie. Thus, the name, Young Mr. & Mrs. Smith. It is an acrylic painting on canvas done with a palette knife. Ooooh, Claire, "Young Love" would have been more apropos as a title. Can't you just picture your grandchildren doing this?
Ohhh, Pat!! This piece is truly exquisite! I am amazed by palette knife painting and the amount of detail that you've (and other palette knife painters) achieved. The colors are phenomenal and symbolize to me the glow of the childhood innocence. Beautiful work!

This is precious! So sweet! I've never tried palette knife with acrylic. The technique didn't work too well for me with oil! Your pieces make me want to jump in and grab the knife! Just love this one!
Thanks, Rosemary. That technique doesn't always work for me also. I keep forgetting that you can get too fussy with the palette knife as well as with a brush.
