Mixed Media
"Butterflies and Flowers" was painted on canvas using acrylic gel medium, inks, and acrylic paints. The dailypaintersabstract.blogspot of which I am a contributing artist, placed an ad for our blogspot in American Art Collectors Magazine the months of Sept, Oct, Nov, and Dec. This painting will be the one I am showing with this ad in the December issue of this magazine. Nice and bright, Pat! You know, I'm big fan of how you handle your colors, especially - blues, even I'm no good with abstracts.
Who doesn't love butterflies and flowers? The colors are so pretty, Pat!
Tatiana, thanks. I never thought I would try abstract, either, especially nonobjective. However, it is quite freeing.
Thanks, Autumn, it was always a fact that if I ever painted abstract, it would be all about color, composition, and texture. No sad, gray, or depressing outcomes.
You have been busy! This is beautiful - love these colors! It's exciting when I open an issue of American Art Collector and see one of your paintings! Will try and pick up December right away! Thanks for the heads up!
Thanks, Rosemary, we're on page 43. LOL I never thought I would have the honor of having my work in American Art Collector, either. It's a good feeling.
