"Blue Ice"
6"x 4"
Acrylic
This little painting was done using acrylic paint and gel medium on canvas. There is some glare on the top part of the photo from the camera & is not part of the painting. This painting will be one of 5 paintings that I have in the "Winter Blues" exhibit at Gallerie 13, 13 East Main St., Mechanicsburg, PA during the month of January. The opening reception is on Friday, January 8 from 6-9pm. There are some exciting changes taking place at the gallerie, so come to the reception if in the area and join in the free wine and cheese reception. I'm fully moved into my new studio and have more art to be seen. If interested in purchasing, contact Mary Beth Brath or Brownyn Hughes at 717-591-6940 during the month of January. If interested in seeing more of my paintings, both abstract and representational, visit my website at :

Winter blues? Such a perfect blend of colors for capturing that feeling, Pat. I also just love these colors together...blues, whites, purples (and greens if I have my druthers! LOL). Wishing you much success with the exhibition!
Thanks, Autumn. I just switched these paintings from 1 gallery to the other, and realized that the colors in the painting are much stronger than the photo shows. And, you see more of the wetland's water in the lower left corner. However, neat colors...blue ice. Hopefully, the snow they are calling for won't be much and we will have a good turnout for the reception.
Looks like frozen waterfall to me, Pat. Nice!
Oh Pat, this one makes me shiver - or maybe it's the penn. temps here in Fla! "Blue Ice" is the perfect title!
Congrats re getting settled into your new studio and best wishes for the exhibit. Wish I could see the "Winter Blues" show!
Thanks, Tatiana. See you Friday.
Thanks, Rosemary. I'd invite you to the exhibit, but they are calling for more snow, so you better stay in Florida and enjoy those nice temperatures. Happy painting.
WOW! I love the energy and freedom of spirit in this Pat - really good stuff here!!!
Thanks, Claire, glad you can feel that.
