Pat, you have a fabulous eye for color. This is glorious!
One of my favorite places down at the National Aquarium is the jellyfish tank, so this attracted me immediately. I think this is amazing, Pat. It shimmers with color and movement, and the blues of the water are phenomenal. I LOVE this!!!
Thanks, Autumn. I guess orange/blue is one set of colors that I use a lot of. It just fits this subject.
The color of the water is more brilliant in the photo than in the painting itself. But, the gelatinous look of the head of the jellyfish and the texture in the oranges don't show up in the photo as well. It still may need a tweek or two.
Beautiful! The size of the canvas and the way you filled the space is awesome! What fun it must have been painting this one! I'm with Claire - I LOVE it!
Beautiful!! The colors are glowing like a real jellyfish. I bet this was tons of fun to paint.
Thanks, Rosemary and Carol, it WAS fun to paint. However, there is always that certain percentage of angst when things don't go quite as you want it. LOLOL
