Beautiful details and rich color, Pat! I love the landscape in the previous post. You are doing amazing work!!
Love it! Such a juicy pomegranate and the background creates a lovely atmosphere.
What a great picture, you've achieved such a smooth finish. Do you dilute your acrylics? I've never used canvas. I paint on acrylic paper or hardboard, and use my paints straight from the tube, so I have rather a rough finish, (which helps me loosen up a bit as at heart I'm very meticulous!)
Thanks, Carol, your work is great, also.
Thanks, Sam. Yeah, I can almost taste some of those juicy seeds. Like eating hard shell crab, though, I have to be in the right frame of mind to do all of that work and put up with that picking to get to that good part. Maybe that's why it tastes so good...the work is in direct portion to the taste. LOL
Jenni, I use my acrylics from the tube, but I use a wet palette. How do you keep your acrylics firm? Sometimes I have to add sculpting compound to get more body. I use the chroma Atelier Interactive...they are resoluble. I've used board, I like 300lb w/c paper better, but like canvas because of the feel or "give" when the brush touches the stretched canvas. Of course, each has it's pros and cons.
Pat loved what you did with this piece. The seeds and skin looks so perfect!very well done!
Thanks, Yasha, I appreciate your comments.
I love your colors, Pat!Beautiful painting!
Thanks, Sylviane, I didn't do much commenting on the paintings from this challenge because of time limitations, however, I do remember you had quite a nice one yourself.
Excellent....
Absolutely beautiful, Pat!
