Nan, you made me go look at my painting more closely...It's been a while since I did it. I used varied cut strips of blue painters tape. Some I painted over which gives texture and I think some of the blue that shows is the tape itself. Acrylic paint and a lot of clear acrylic gel medium.
Thanks, Nan, some of these works are very layered and not always what I started off with. The book "The New Acrylics" by Rheni Tauchid is really informative with great ideas.
I enjoy painting plein air, landscapes, abstracts, portraits, figures, animals, wildlife, and still life. My favorite mediums are oil, acrylic, pastel, ink, and charcoal. I paint on canvas, paper, and board. My work can be seen at the following galleries: 2nd Floor Gallery in Mechanicsburg, Pa., Art & Soul Gallery in Camp Hill, PA, Artist Market of Pomfret Street in Carlisle, PA, and Pure Gallery in Mechanicsburg, PA.

I like this Pat. Love the color, love the design also. What mixed media did you use on it?

Sounds interesting. I'm starting to explore mixed media this year, there are so many options! Love the yellow in this - it just pops! Nice work

Absolutely beautiful Pat... and so different for you... I love the vibrant yellows and the splash of blue for the water.. an excellent abstract!!!
Thanks, Hilda. I find abstracts very hard to do...they are truly originals.
