This painting was done using string gel and ink on canvas. The greens, red, and ochres reminded me of grasses and mushrooms where a little gnome would want to live. This painting, along with 11 others of mine, will be hanging at 2nd Floor Gallery, 105 S Market St, Mechanicsburg until Dec.31, 2012. If you are in the area, please drop in to see this exhibit...many other miniature pieces from local artists are in the show. I found these mushrooms growing in the backyard and decided to paint them. I have been trying to post this for several weeks. However, everytime I tried to insert my "horizontal"  photo it was posted in the vertical position. I finally edited the photo, rotated it to the vertical position and when I posted it, it posted in the horizontal position where it needed to be. If anyone else has had this problem and knows the solution, please let me know.  My method obviously worked, but is very time consuming.
