This painting was done plein air at Stoney Creek Irises, located on Stoney Creek Road in Dauphin, PA. Katie not only offered us a variety of beautiful irises to paint, but subject matter such as chickens, roosters, hen house, turkeys, cottage, gardens and a beautiful vista of mountain ridges. Katie not only grows & sells irises, but is also a musician & author, so visiting with her is always interesting and delightful. A good morning of painting & commiserating.
