"Grim Reaper" by Pat Koscienski

SOLD
"Grim Reaper"
7" x 5"
Acrylic mixed media
"Grim Reaper" was done for James Parker's Windows to the Words challenge Scary Stuff. I used some webbing material to give the cobweb texture to the painting. I had fun with this one. Oh my gosh, Pat! I love this piece, the colors, the subject...Just gorgeous. I wasn't so much thinking scary as I was thinking of the innate fear of death that most of us seem to have. Great, great job and oddly enough, my favorite of all your pieces!

I also like this piece. It is haunting... has depth and I like the use of materials. Can't wait to show this to my boys when they get home from school.

Thanks Autumn & Maria, Somehow, even as adults, Halloween stirs our emotions and creativity...and, not always in a morbid way. LOL

WOW, Pat, I love this one! At very first moment figure looks like an entrance to the long dark tunnel and then you can realize it is not a tunnel, but a dark figure and only then you can see some accessories above!.. :-)Brilliant idea!

You, my dear, are amazing. This is really great. I hope to get to see it in person. Will it be in the exhibit in Harrisburg?

Thanks for the complement, Mary Beth. Someone liked this painting so much that they bought it. It's always nice for the artist to know that their painting will be with someone who enjoys it so much. Thanks again, to the buyer.
