"Wetland's Sentinel" by Pat Koscienski

"Wetland's Sentinel"
10" x 10"
Acrylic on canvas

"Wetland's Sentinel" was painted plein air at Wildwood Wetlands Park off Industrial Road in Harrisburg, PA The yellow lotus were in bloom; a possible rain threatened, but never arrived, and an egret kept us in awe with his beauty & grace. Needless to say, the painting of the egret was completed in the studio (He refused to hold that pose). Lovely painting, Pat! Lots of depth and misty moody background. Like Autumn, I want to just keep looking! You captured the egret's movement and grace perfectly!

Pat, you've received a second award for your great work - pick it up at my blogspot.

Lyn, thank you so very much. To receive an award from a peer is great, but, but to receive two awards from two peers, is truly an honor. As, a fellow mentor and instructor once said to me, "enjoy it, it doesn't happen often".

Very lovely, Pat! I know the place and love it too. In fact we live about 15 minutes away and this summer I also did a painting of it. It is always interesting to see, how different artists working on the same subject. Love your version! :-)
