This painting was done for The Gospel Story Exhibit at Art & Soul Gallery, 900 Market Street, Lemoyne, Pennsylvania; the gallery is located on the 2nd floor of the West Shore Farmers Market. It was inspired by the Parable of Jesus from Matthew 6:24-34. Especially the part "Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them." Love the colors... and I have never used the palette knife, but that looks like a lot of detailed strokes. Very nice.

Margaret, I used a sculpting compound in my acrylic paint; I could use the tip of my knife to "sculp" some of those feathers just with a little pressure. I can't wait to try it with fur to see if it will give that same effect.
