"Noontime Activity" by Pennsylvania Daily Painter Pat Koscienski

"Noontime Activity"
Acrylic
9" x 12"
"Noontime Activity" was painted for Bill Guffey's Virtual Paintout Challenge. Using Google Map Street View we were to tour through Mexico City and surrounding areas to find a scene to paint. This particular scene was from Victoria/Dolores, Cuauhtemoc, D.f., Mexico. The people in this scene just seemed to be on lunch, with packages in hand, food cart nearby, shops, and a flurry of activity. I couldn't resist the color of the building and the cart. This is great, Pat. Nice feel of activity, and gorgeous colors in this. I can see why you could not resist that cart - it really pulls it all together beautifully!

Pat, no matter the subject, you just nail it every time! This is wonderful. For some reason, I am reminded of Van Gogh. I think because he could paint in different styles and different subject matters as wonderfully as I see you doing. Just fabulous!

Thanks, Claire. Painting these are a lot different than painting plein air. There's a lot you can't see in the photos. But, they are so much fun.

Autumn, you are such a positive person and touch others with that great aura you have around you. Thank you for making my day.

Thanks, Phil, I sometimes wish I could get better photos from the street searches. Maybe that's what makes some of these "challenges". LOL
