Soon Forgotten - original representational impressionistic plein air landscape oil painting by contemporary Pennsylvania artist Pat Koscienski

"Soon Forgotten"
8" x 10"
Oil on canvas

"Soon Forgotten" is an 8" x 10" painting done plein air on a farm that had many of these small buildings recently demolished...wood being used as found wood?  This particular building was gone the next week we painted there and I'm sure will be "Soon Forgotten".  If you have any questions or wish to purchase, contact PAT.  To see more of my paintings, both representational and abstract, please visit my website at:

I love the light hitting the barn and the flowers, Pat! Unfortunately these barns are "soon to be forgotten" so this is the best way to preserve them. Beautifully painted!

Thanks, Hilda. I agree with you about art being the way of preserving these pieces of our history. They seem to be disappearing quicker than ever.

Every season here in the mountains of Western NC we see fewer of these wonderful old barns! Oh, the stories they could tell! Love your sprinkles of red and especially your brush strokes in this one!

Thanks, Rosemary. Once the addition to my studio is completed, I hope to get back to serious blogging. I miss seeing everyone's new works.
