I worked on this piece a little more (from the September Virtual Paintout). I changed the hue of the buildings on the viewer's left side from a warm sienna to the grayed blue/green of the right side, but lighter in value. I felt this unified the painting a little better. I also lightened the buildings on the right, but made sure to keep the left side the lightest. This helped the street look darker and hopefully put the focal point on the building near the cars. Do you feel this helped? Or, do you feel the first version was better? Let me know... I'm in Belfast this month and need to work on scoping out a vista for that painting. I thought your original version was awesome, Pat, but I really like the changes you've made! The street itself, the garbage cans and door and stairs and even the people look more intense to me now. I had to scroll back and forth, but the changes have made this truly a standout piece!

I like your subtle changes - enriched the piece but, like AutumnLeaves said, it was already outstanding! Last night I saw your painting in the new AMERICAN ART COLLECTOR Magazine! Am I impressed? Oh Yeah!! What a wonderful abstract! Someone is going to grab that if they haven't already!
