Meria, Northern Corsica by Pennsylvania Daily Painter Pat Koscienski

Meria, Northern Corsica
6" x 12"
Acrylic
"Meria, Northern Corsica" was painted for Bill Guffey's Virtual Paintout Challenge. During the month of January we were in Corsica. Using Googles' Map search street view, we were to tour through the country and find a scene we would like to paint. I found several....the country is so beautiful. I decided to enter Meria for the challenge, but I know I will be painting a few more from that region. A couple of different brush strokes in this one, which add interest and work towards what you would see with a camera lens. Amazing, Pat! And your palette is so beautiful, just like my vision of paradise!

Pat, the smoothness of the road against the texture all around really leads your eye into this painting. Very nice!

Thank you, Sylviane, that area in Corsica is so colorful, that it wasn't too hard to depict.

Thank you, Lyn, the road probably gave me the most trouble. I do like the smoothness, but not sure I didn't "gray" it too much.
