Persimmon and Old Lace - Acrylic Impressionistic Representational Still Life Painting by Pennsylvania Daily Painter Pat Koscienski

Persimmon and Old Lace
9" x 12"
Acrylic on canvas

This painting was done from a photograph posted by Lela Stankovic's Paint and Draw Together Blogspot. My mother, Mary Mesaros, and aunt, Mary Suk, both were good crocheters. I'm sure they are looking down on me right now and getting a good laugh on the exact painting of this doily. I hope they both realize I am an impressionist and not a realist and cannot paint every stitch as it is. With all the rain, it was very hard to get a good color in my photograph of this painting; the thread is much warmer in real life. If you have any questions, or wish to purchase, contact Pat. I sure think this came out beautifully, Pat. I love the wooden mantle that this is sitting on too. To me, this looks beautifully crocheted so block out those heavenly voices!

Thanks, Autumn. I tried to block them out, but I still hear them giggling.

Wow, such detail in the doily. Really nice painting Pat!
