Thank you, Tatiana.

Thank you, Hilda. There are more nuances of red in those tomatoes than what shows; they are difficult to pick up with a camera, at least with my camera.

Gosh, Pat! I've been following your art for years now and you never cease to amaze me. I just love your color choice for that background and those red tomatoes just pop against it! And look so darned delicious too!

Thank you, Sherry. Believe it or not, I was trying to "gray" the background. I used a warm red & green in the tomatoes and leaves, so tried combining the cool red & green. Backgrounds are my bugaboo.

Thanks, Rosemary. I wish the palette knife would work for me all the time, but then again, that would take all the fun out of it. LOL

Your version of the tomatoes is very appealing indeed, and I wish I could see it "in person." I suspect that the texture from your modeling compound would add to the paintings appeal. I'm also interested in the fact you used a palette knife.

Thanks, Sherry. I have some "trowelling"? around the tomatoes; more practice is needed. But, again, I guess that's what makes the day interesting.

These are just jumping out of the painting at me! Very bright and reflective. There's even a subtle commentary on life in there i reckon - the transition from unripe green to glowing red.

Thanks, Somerset. I like your take on the life's commentary. I'll have to pass this on to the patrons who view it in my gallery.
