Leo - Acrylic Impressionistic Painting of a Lion on Canvas by Pennsylvania Painter Pat Koscienski

"Leo"
11" x 14"
Acrylic
"Leo" was painted in acrylic on a textured gallery wrapped canvas. I started this out with the idea that I wanted to abstract him using a lot of texture. However, what I want and what I get, is not always the same. I always say, it is a conversation between me and the painting...the process or conversation continues until we are both in agreement. So, it is an impressionistic painting of a lion on a very textured gallery wrapped canvas. Absolutely majestic, Pat. The texture works magnificently, and adds to his aura of power.

Oh, Pat, he is so magestic animal! Well done!.. Missed seeing you on the last reception, BTW. It is not the same without you.

My first true jaw drop of the day, Pat. Leo is truly regal, totally drop dead gorgeous! I am just amazed at your talent and your ability to paint in a couple of different signature styles. I so love this painting...

Thanks, Carol, I wasn't sure there for a while. My husband also said it added to the painting, and he can be brutally honest.LOL

Pat, love the power of this piece. This would be a good entry in A&S' March exhibit, "Palm Sunday through Resurrection" portraying the Lion of Judah, another name for Christ.

Thanks, Lyn. I'll make sure it is available for the exhibit.
