This aceo card of a rooster was done for Jennifer Neslund who is the administrative assistant and exhibit coordinator for Carlisle Arts Learning Center (CALC) in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She will be exhibiting Fred and Fiona, and 2 other paintings of roosters and hens from the middle of March to the middle of April at CALC. Other artists have been painting aceo's and atc's for her to display as a "hen house" or other display she may creatively come up with. I am presently working on a larger version of this fellow, since he looks to be quite a strutter. If interested in seeing more of my paintings, please look through my blogspot and visit my website at:

This has such a presence that I thought it was a much larger painting. I love his strut - what a great rooster!
Hard to believe the size of the paper! Beautifully painted, Pat.
You know I have to agree with Claire, Pat. I actually had to scroll back up and check out the size as I read your words. You did a magnificent job on this handsome guy!
Another ditto to Claire's comments! What a handsome rooster!
