On the Precipice - Acrylic Abstract Cougar Painting by Pennsylvania Daily Painter Pat Koscienski

"On the Precipice"
20" x 10"
Acrylic on Canvas

A painting of a cougar on the edge or brink of an unstable structure. Does it collapse? Will he jump? Will it all remain stable? Definitely a need to make some decisions. Do we sometimes find ourselves in this position? If you have any questions, contact Pat at patsfineart@hotmail.com

Very thought-provoking and intriguing, Pat. You can tell by the look on the cougar's face that he is trying to figure out his next move!

Wow, great use of complimentary colors. I love the movement and look in the cougar's eye. You did such a great job making it both realistic and abstract. One of my favorites!!

Thanks, everyone. I did really concentrate on trying to incorporate the representational and the abstract, and make it meaningful. I did have it monochromatic at one point, and then did work in the complimentary, blue. And, I agree with Autumn, he will land on his feet!
